Seeks to educate the community concerning serious mental illness with the goal of improving the care of their loved ones, removing the stigmas of mental illness, and improving the quality and quantity of housing and support available to the mentally ill of various levels of functioning. Monthly meetings are held on the 2nd (family support group) and 4th (community education) Tuesdays. Offers free educational materials, loans tapes and books, and has a speakers bureau. COMMENTS: Meetings are held the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays at 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3973 N. Cedar Avenue, Fellowship Room, 229-8581.
