MIDDLEBORO - On Thursday, June 14, Middleborough High School hosted members of the Middleborough American Legion Post 64 and the Middleborough Veterans Honor Guard for the annual Flag Day ceremony in the Wayne Caron Auditorium.

Middleborough Veterans Agent Jason Cox and Middleborough Superintendent of Schools Brian Lynch were among the speakers to address students, MHS students provided music for the event and the Honor Guard presented the American flag and flags representing the different branches of the United States Armed Forces.

The event also gives the MHS staff and student body the opportunity to recognize those students entering into military service and add those students to the MHS Wall of Honor, on display in front entry way to the school.

This year, MHS added five students: Charles Browning, John Curtin, Dakota Phillips, John Porier and Matthew Tortora.
